Privacy Policy

PromptRiff (“we”, “us”) is a browser party game operated by SupaFunGroup, based in the United States. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data collection minimal — the game is designed to be fun, not to harvest information.

What we collect

• Email address— only if you sign in (we use a passwordless “magic link”) or optionally leave it in the feedback form so we can reply.
• Gameplay analytics— non-identifying events like “a room was created” or “a game finished,” plus which prompt packs are popular. We do not store the answers players type — those are broadcast between players in real time and never saved to our database.
• Custom prompts— if you’re a Premium host and create a custom pack, the prompts you write are stored so you can play them again.
• Feedback — the message you send us, plus your optional name and email.
• Payment details — handled entirely by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your card number; we only receive a confirmation, the email used, and the amount.
• Basic technical data — standard server logs and a functional cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. To run the game we rely on a few trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy terms:

• A cloud database & authentication provider — stores accounts, custom packs, and analytics.
• A payment processor — handles Premium purchases (we never see or store your card details).
• An email delivery service — sends your sign-in link.
• A bot-protection service — guards the feedback form; its provider’s privacy terms apply to that check.
• A tipping platform — only if you choose to leave a tip.
• A hosting provider — serves the website.

We can share the specific providers we use on request.

How we use it

• To run the game, your account, and Premium features.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the game is used and improve it.
• To reply to feedback and provide support.
• To process purchases and prevent fraud and abuse.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies— the one that keeps your login session active. We don’t use advertising or analytics tracking cookies, so there’s no consent banner to click through.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to run the game. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Contact).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

PromptRiff isn’t directed at children under 13(or the minimum age required where you live, if higher), and we don’t knowingly collect their data. (Family-friendly mode filters content — it is not age verification.)

International

We and our providers may process your data in the United States and other countries. By using PromptRiff you understand your data may be transferred and processed there.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on the site.
